About the programme

fide test preparation is designed for adults who need to take the fide exam as part of their administrative procedures in Switzerland. After an initial assessment, you follow the programme best suited to your starting level, your needs and the time you have available. Each programme targets the specific skills and format assessed in the test.

⚠️ Good to know: these programmes are entirely dedicated to fide test preparation. They are not a general language course and do not aim for full CEFR-level acquisition: they prepare you for the specific skills and format assessed in the test. If you’d like to learn French more broadly and live it day to day, our general French courses are there for that.

Initial fide assessment

Before starting, an individual assessment identifies what you already know and what to prioritise. Based on the results, we point you towards the format and duration of preparation best suited to your needs.

The assessment is included in every fide programme. It can also be booked separately, as an individual one-hour session, at CHF 80.–. No registration fee applies when it is booked alone.

The three programmes

Programme « Zero to fide A1 »
For people starting from scratch in French who want to build the skills required for fide A1 level. Initial assessment and mock assessments included.
32 hours spread over 16 weeks.
Group of 3 to 6 people: CHF 800.– · Duo: CHF 2’000.– · Individual: CHF 3’360.–

Programme « fide complete » (towards A2 or B1)
For people who need to consolidate several skills before sitting the assessment. Initial assessment and mock assessments included.
32 hours spread over 16 weeks.
Group of 3 to 6 people: CHF 800.– · Duo: CHF 2’000.– · Individual: CHF 3’360.–

Programme « fide express »
For people close to the required level who want to target their remaining difficulties. Initial assessment and mock assessments included.
16 hours spread over 8 weeks.
Group of 3 to 6 people: CHF 400.– · Duo: CHF 1’000.– · Individual: CHF 1’680.–

What if none of the programmes matches exactly?

After the assessment, we test your level: depending on the gaps to close, you can join a 32h or 16h programme, or we offer a combined programme (for example « Zero to fide A1 » followed by a second programme).
